Parish Council

   The parish council of St. Anastasia exists to work in collaboration with the pastor, the pastoral staff and the faith community to carry out and to advance the mission of this church.  The main role of the council is to provide leadership that will prioritize mandates, concerns, and resources to best fulfill the church’s mission.

Members of the Parish Council are called to:

(a)  Function as a consulting body to the Pastor

(b)  Collaborate with the Pastor to formulate parish policies consistent with faith and morals, civil and church law and diocesan policies;

(c)  Develop and maintain a mission statement which embraces and evolves with the total life of the parish;

(d)  Plan clear and concise goals based on the parish mission statement and the needs of the parish;

(e)  Encourage and promote all apostolic activity of the parish;

(f)   Approve the parish budget.

     Membership on the council is determined by discernment of the council and does include the full time ministerial staff.   Terms are three years.  A chairperson is chosen annually for a one year term.  All meetings are open to members of the parish.  Meetings are held monthly, currently on the 3rd Wednesday of each month except in July and August.
